Off focus

So much has been happening and i feel completely unfocused. Medically a lot has been happening and although i started off well, coming from duty took away all my motivation. This is harder than i thought it would be. Whenever something is wrong i shut the rest of the world out to deal with it on my own. So how can i share my feelings..

I am lovin this!/ Drugs

I am going through different blogs, reading my classmates different ideas on topics and all i keep thinking is : This is amazing! This form of interaction is the most creative form of learning, writing and communicating without necessarily feeling tied to a specific subject with no chance of straying or feeling compelled to write or it's a zero. I have learned so much already! I am looking forward to more posts and opinions. I feel like we are a interconnected and it is the best feeling i have had about a class. Thank you Professor Hamon!

Now about drugs... Drugs are bad, Mm'kay? (only a few will get it). On a serious note, It is such a broad issue i could go on forever but one thing ill make mention of is that treatment is just as necessary as the prevention of drugs. There is life after addiction if proper attention, support and provision is given. Addicts should not be treated like dirt because they were vulnerable and gave in to the influence. The Government does not have to do all the work. Everyone can help. Addiction is not a crime, it's a weakness...

Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is one of those subjects that, no matter how much or how long you can talk or blog about it, it will never touch you as strongly as one who has lived through it. Although, thr truth is each one of us has been abused at a certain level throughout our lives. It could be that one family member who lives with us and talks down on everything we do and think we will never amount to anything in our lives. It could be that boyfriend who mentally abuses with hurtful words and wrongdoings. how long we will let it happen is entirely up to us because it does not get better. It only gets worse. And at times, we just need that one hand to pull us out of the hole we found ourselves in, stand up, and walk away. Domestic abuse will never leave me untouched... I have lived it, my way.

Domestic violence, a sad reality

According to domesticviolence.org, every nine seconds a woman is assaulted or beaten in the US...
This is pretty revolting, outrageous and despicable. Athough efforts, donations and prevention methods are spread, it still affects us in a very dense way. It might sometimes feel as though we are not capable of doing much with everything going on in our personal lives but the smallest of things makes a difference if we get the strength to do it. It can start with the smallest gesture, with a neighbor, a family friend and create a bigger impact in the future. I think it is up to us, the younger generation to step up and do what we can... no matter how small it might be.
